First of all what is that Xylazine?

Zombie drugs Xylazine is a veterinary sedative and analgesic used to treat animals this belongs to the class of drugs called alpha-2 adrenergic agonists, which work by stimulating certain receptors in the brain and spinal cord to produce sedative and analgesic effects, and it is not safe for humans because the overdose of this drug cannot be treated by the naloxone, or Narcan which is usually used to reverse the overdosage of opioids (Naloxone is an important drug against overdosage but it is not a substitute for addiction treatment)and it is also used as an adulterant to increase their potency or weight of drugs like cocaine and heroin.

then the conclusion of the term zombie drug is that the drug doesn't convert people into actual zombies which are shown in movies or fiction but if they are in a zombie-like state. The term may be used by the media or individuals to sensationalize.
